Navdy Launches Car Heads-up Display for Android and ios Smartphones

Navdy on Tuesday launched a heads-up display (HUD) car console at $499. The company claims that the new heads-up display (HUD) will allow users access their smartphone apps while driving, without taking the smartphones out of their pockets, or removing their hands from the steering wheel for extended periods of time.

As an introductory offer, Navdy has priced the HUD at $299 for the first 30-days, after which the device will be available at its original price. The Navdy heads-up display will only ship sometime in early 2015.

Navdy is also offering a 10 percent refund to early adopters for each friend they refer to buy the latest heads-up display (HUD) car console. The Navdy car console can be paired over 
Bluetooth, and it can also share data with smartphone over Wi-Fi.

The company said, "Navdy is running a 30 day pre-order campaign on Navdy.com to gauge consumer demand and collect feedback from early adopters. Backers will have early access to the Navdy device so that they can provide feedback and help guide the app development process as the company ramps up to a wider release."

Notably, Navdy's heads-up display features a projection transparent display and also supports voice and gesture command for picking up calls, texting, making calls and other stuff. The device uses a magnetic mount that helps it to stay on top of the dashboard of compatible vehicles. The company notes that the heads-up display (HUD) car console can be easily moved to another car.

The new Navdy device is compatible with Apple (IOS 7+) and Android (4.3+) smartphones. However, users will need to install the Navdy companion app for Android and IOS to set-up the device.

Recently, Apple and Google also made a push into the automobile sector with car play and Android Auto, respectively 

Apple announced Car play , a feature that allowed users to plug their phone into compatible vehicles in order to control entertainment, navigation and call handlling features via voice commands and steering -mounted controls in March.

Meanwhile, Google unveiled Android Auto, an operating system that has been tailored to work with cars at I/O.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S .....Happy launch in INDIA!!!!!

Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S range of tablets at an event in New York. As expected, Samsung today launched the 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch tablets in India priced at Rs 37,800 and Rs 44,800 respectively.  

Talking of specifications, both the Galaxy Tab S variants are nearly identical except for the screen size and the size of the battery. The bigger 10.5-inch tablet features a 7,900mAh battery, while the 8.4-inch has a 4,900mAh battery. As mentioned above, the tablets flaunt a Super AMOLED display with WQXGA resolution (2560×1600 pixels) that translates into 288ppi for the 10.5-inch variant and 359ppi for the 8.4-inch variant.
The tablets are powered by an Exynos 5 octa-core chipset (quad-core 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores) clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. Also included is 16/32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The tablets also feature an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and on the software front, they run on the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat, wrapped under Samsung’s Magazine UI. Samsung has also preloaded apps like Milk Audio, Papergarden, Samsung WatchON and Sidesync 3.0 among others. The last feature is similar to Apple’s Continuity feature on iOS 8, wherein you will be able to pick up calls on the tablet itself while synced with your Samsung smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S5 to be waterproof and priced attractively

With just few days left in the launch of much-anticipated Samsung's next flagship smartphone, rumours about the Galaxy S5 are pouring in fast.

The new Galaxy S5 details come from Bloomberg, which cites a person familiar with the matter who claims that Samsung's upcoming S flagship smartphone will sport a larger and sharper 5.2 inch display than the 2013 flagship smartphone, Galaxy S4. Notably, this is in line with a recently leaked purported screen short of the Galaxy S5 that tipped a Quad-HD display in the device. The leaked screen short of the 'About' section of 'Quick System info PRO' supposedly revealed that the Galaxy S5's display would feature a HD (1440 by 2560) pixel resolution along with a 560 ppi pixel density, all packed in a 5.2-inch screen.

Further, the report suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with a better battery and camera, though it does not reveal the specific details.

Notably, the report also cites a second person familiar with the matter, who claims Samsung might price the Galaxy S5 less than the previous Galaxy S flagship, as requested by a wireless carriers., However, the source does not reveal the pricing of the yet-to-be-launched Galaxy S5.

In addition, a report emerging from korea claims that the Galaxy S5 will be a dustproof and waterproof device. ZDNet korea quoted a source saying, 'users can clean the phone with water while it can sustain short durations of Galaxy S5 on the Geraman website of UK-headquartered mobile carrier, which showed a smartphone making a splash in the water. The teaser had hinted the carrier would be among the first to bring the new Samsung flagship smartphone .

The Korean report also claims that the Galaxy S5 can be unlocked using a swipe over the home button. The report informs that Apple used a sapphire coating for its home button on the iPhone 5s, while Samsung plans to use a ultra-violet(UV) coating over its fingerprint scanner.

It is yet to be seen whether Samsung's long-rumoured Galaxy S5 will pack such features or would be on the same lines as previous Galaxy flagship smartphones.

We expect, based on previous reports, that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be launched alongside a new tablet series, believed to be dubbed Galaxy Tab 4, and the long-rumoured Galaxy gear successor, named Galaxy Gear 2 at the 24 February 2014 event in Barcelona, at the sidelines of the MWC 2014.

Google Play Store app update rolling out, brings UI tweaks and more

Google has updated its play store app, bringing a number of UI tweaks including an indicator for in-app purchases, new review layout and new activity feed, thereby offering a slight overhauled app UI.

Android police spotted the update first and has detailed the changes in the Google Play Store app after update with build number 4.5.10. The new update for possile transaction in an app, beforehand.

Another change the update brings is to review layouts. The star ratings for the review have been enlarged with edit button for making required changes to the review. In addition, Google has now added an option to delete  your review. Now the Play Store app comes with a new activity feed that is integrated with the user's Google+ profile. Users can now share and view the Play Store activity with others via Google+ profiles. The new activity feed also features +1 s and ratings buttons.

Earlier, Google announced a major update to its google search app for Android which would now show app results , including Google play listings, or from those already installed on the user's smartphone. with the new update , Google introduced three types of app listings which would appear depending on the search - these 'Open in app ', 'Google Play buttons' , and 'Download button' .

The 'Open in app'[ result would show if a search term is found in an app already installed on the user's smartphone. The 'Google Play buttons' result would show when a slightly ambiguous search query is found in more than one app. The group of apps to go to the Play Store app, and insstall the app if they wish. The 'Download button' result would show when a user searches for an exact app on Google search for Android . When users press the button, the relevant app will be opened on the Play Store app, and the download would begin automatically.

A modified version of Final Fantasy VI is headed to Android and IOS this winter.Actually Final Fantasy VI was originally released for Nintendo in 1994.

“Square Enix has been offering smart phone versions of the Final Fantasy series which allow players to experience the roots of Final Fantasy which were released in the series’ dawning age,” Final Fantasy director Tokita said. “The games are part of our legacy campaign for Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy VI is now under development and will be available this winter. Just like Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI will be a refined 2D remake and we will be implementing an auto battle system for easier leveling up.”
