12-inch iPad and Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors

2014 is going to be a big year for mobile devices as the battle between the big three tech giants heats up and two of the big three are already gearing up their products for 2014; at least the rumors say so.

According to reports, Apple is is planning to revolutionize (rather kill) the Notebook PC market by releasing a 12-inch iPad. An analyst at  Evercore Partners predicts that the company will be releasing a tablet focused on the business market by fall this year.  Analyst Patrick Wang predicts that the new 12-inch iPad  will be powered by an A8 processor and that it will be similar to the Surface tablets that Microsoft has in the market. The analyst states that manufacturing costs are the primary reasons that Apple would consider such a tablet which would over time take over the Macbook Air.

Apple's main competitor Samsung on the other hand is getting ready with it's successor to the Galaxy S4; the Galaxy S5. The device is rumored to be released along with the Galaxy Camera 2 in February in Barcelona, at the World Mobile Congress.

Rumors are ripe that the company could finally be moving away from a plastic body to a more polished aluminium case all thanks to the success of the HTC One.  Another phone which is expected to come out at the event is Samsung Galaxy F which will sport a  QHD 2K display which supports an amazing resolution of 2,560×1,600 pixels.  The new Galaxy S5 could also sport a different OS namely the Tizen OS which was doing rounds a while back  but it remains to be seen whether the company would risk introducing a new OS when it's flagship device is doing so well running the Android.

Apple's cost $8.40, you pay $100: Report on extra 16GB storage inside iPad Air

Apple seems to have trimed the bill for making its latest ipad along with the tablet computer's width and weight.

The iPad Air that sells for $499 costs Apple $274 to make , based on an analysis released Tuesday by the research from IHS inc. That's a 13 percent decrease from the estimated $316 that it cost Apple to make the 
third- generation ipad introduced last year.

The iPad Air went on sale last week. IHS buys varous devices and then takes them apart to asses how much the parts cost . 

 The phenomenon is causing Apple's average selling prices to fall .For instance , iPad sold for an average of $439 in Apple's latest quarter ending in late september , a 14 percent decline from $508 at the same time last year . 

The iPad mini , Apple's first tablet with a screen smaller than the standard 10-inch (25-centimeter) display , is the main reson prices came down . The prices for the iPad Mini, which debuted late year , initially started at $329. That  model is now selling for as low as $299 as Apple prepares to release a more sophisticated version of the Mini featuring a high-definition screen later this month. The top-of-the-line Mini will sell for $399 to help cover the costs for a more vibrant display.

After the recent launch of the iPhone 5s and 5c there was much focus on the iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2.

Well now Apple moved out officially these devices in the Lauch event on 23rd of October 2013.

The new iPad is no more called as iPad 5 but yes as iPad Air.

All New iPad Air launched .

Apple took care of the cycled iPhone refresh last month at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, and thus it was logical for the company to move on to the iPad lineup next. As such, Tim Cook and Co. today revealed a new generation of tablets, including a redesigned, thinner and lighter iPad Air and the long-rumored, much-awaited iPad mini with Retina display. New Design

For the first time since the iPad 2, we’re seeing a brand new design for the iPad (fifth generation).

The new iPad sports the same 9.7-inch display as all of its predecessors, but with an updated shape following the design language of the iPad mini. It weighs just one pound, making it the lightest full size tablet in the world. It’s .4 lbs lighter than previous generations. Also, the iPad Air only 7.5mm thick, which is 25 percent thinner than previous iPads.

Processor

Apple has updated the new iPad’s processor to the A7, the same you’ll find in the iPhone 5s. It’s 8x faster than the first generation and graphics are 72 times faster than then the first generation iPad. Of course, it would be interesting to hear stats on fourth generation iPad comparison, but you can’t always get what you want from an Apple announcement.

Camera

That said, Apple has decided to pay a little more attention to the iPad camera this time around, with an updated 5-megapixel iSight camera, with 1080p FaceTime camera in the front and dual-mics for video chat.

Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil both a new, slimmer iPad 5 and a second-generation iPad mini featuring a high-resolution Retina display. Beyond that, there are no guarantees, but with Apple teasing that there's "a lot to cover," announcements may extend far beyond the company's tablet line. We're expecting final details on the release of OS X Mavericks, the latest version of Apple's desktop operating system. New iPods, a refreshed Apple TV, and updates to the MacBook Pro family are other possibilities.

The San Francisco showcase is likely to feature remodeled versions of Apple's standard-sized iPad with a 10-inch display screen and the iPad Mini with a nearly 8-inch screen. Hewing to its usually tight-lipped ways, Apple Inc. hasn't shared details about what's on the agenda. The Cupertino, Calif. company merely sent out invitations that said, "We still have a lot to cover."

Apple will probably add its high-definition "Retina Display" to the iPad Mini to stay competitive with recent upgrades to the smaller tablets sold by Google Inc. and Amazon.com Inc.

Both sizes of iPad almost certainly will come with iOS 7, Apple's latest mobile operating system, already installed. The new operating software has been available to download on most of the previous generations of the iPad since last month. Some iPad owners have complained that iOS 7 doesn't look as good or run as well on older tablets.

The new iPads may also come equipped with a biometric sensor that enables a user's fingerprints to serve as a password instead of typing a numeric code to unlock the device. The fingerprint technology is part of the iPhone 5S, Apple's latest high-end smartphone.

If Apple is consistent with its past practices, the prices on the new iPads won't change. Prices on the standard-sized iPad usually start at $499 and the cheapest iPad Mini goes for $329. That has left Apple's tablets more expensive than rival models, but the company has maintained the iPad is worth it.

The higher prices nevertheless have eroded the iPad's market share. The research firm Gartner Inc. estimates that tablet's running Google's Android operating system will end this year with a 50 per cent share of the worldwide market versus 49 per cent for the iPad. Just two years ago, the iPad commanded a 65 per cent market share compared to 30 per cent for Android tablets, according to Gartner.

The introduction of a new iPad could also herald the end of the line for the iPad 2, a tablet that Apple released more than two years ago. The iPad 2 currently serves as Apple's discount tablet with a $399 price tag.

Apple shedules a event on october 22nd and also going to is release new generation ipads.

Apple has started to send out invitations for an event that it'll be holding on October 22. Taking place in San Francisco, the event is expected to see the unveiling of the new iPad 5, iPad mini 2, as well as a number of other Apple products.

Just as rumors had it, CEO Tim Cook and company are going to introduce the new generation of Apple's wildly-successful portable tablet computers. Thanks to a substantial amount of leaks that we've seen during the last few weeks and months, we now know a bunch of interesting details about the 5th generation iPad. For example, we can be almost certain that it's going to adopt the iPad mini's design styling, featuring narrower side bezels that will make the device appear significantly smaller. The iPad 5 is also expected to have become even thinner and lighter than its predecessor, while the 9.7" screen size and 2048 x 1536 resolution will likely remain the same.

Meanwhile, the new iPad mini's display will most likely get a much-needed upgrade, bumping the resolution all the way to the current iPad 4 resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. This will surely make everything one can do on the iPad mini that much more pleasant. The chipset under the hood will probably get upgraded as well. While this is pure speculation, it wouldn't be so surprising to see the iPad mini 2 get the A6 (iPhone 5c, iPhone 5) or A6X (iPad 4) SoC. It's safe to presume that Apple will want to save its best piece of silicon, the A7, for the iPad 5. Of course, the presence of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on both new tablets is something we all believe in.
Aside from the new iPads, Apple is rumored to introduce new MacBook Pro models and probably a new Apple TV. As for an iWatch smartwatch... well, let's just say that chances don't seem so good, but you know what they say - nothing is impossible!

New ipad's expected to be released at the end of october.MacBook pro is going to be released in november.

Apple hasn’t announced it yet, but the general consensus is that the company will hold a press event on October 22 where it will announce new iPads and perhaps some refreshes to its Mac computers. A new report from MacG suggests that new MacBook Pros are ready to launch later this month, right around October 24 or October 25, while new iPads will hit later in the month around Halloween on October 30 or October 31. Meanwhile, the Mac Pro is expected November 15. The computer was unveiled during WWDC but has not yet hit the market.

Mac says the dates line up with what it’s expecting as well, with the iPads landing just a week after the rumored press event. That’s how Apple typically releases its products, though the site does think the November 15 launch date for the Mac Pro sounds a little late. Apple will very likely add the new Intel Haswell processors to its line of MacBook Pro with Retina Display laptops, which should increase battery life, and Mac expects support for 4K displays, too.

Most rumors and leaks suggest Apple’s new iPad 5 will have a design similar to the iPad mini, with more rounded edges. It’s possible we’ll see Touch ID sensors added to the home button, Apple’s new A7 processor and an improved camera. Meanwhile, reports have been flip-flopping about what we can expect from the new iPad mini 2. It seems like the Retina Display is still very much up in the air, though a faster processor seems pretty definite at this point.

If Apple is indeed holding a press event on October 22, we should see invites go out any day now.

APPLE IPAD MINI 2 LEAKS...

Earlier the reported about Apple Plans for the new iPad Mini and iPad. This time around an extensive gallery of latest leaked iPad Mini 2 images by Sonnydickson suggests that the plan is very pretty much on track.

In more than 20 images of the iPad Mini 2, unibody chassis showing a silver-finish device are of a WiFi + Cellular version, going by the plastic antenna insert on the upper rear panel.

A similar design to the first generation iPad mini. Perhaps the only difference looking at the rear shell is again one that we’ve seen before. Instead of being a glorified sticker on the outside of the iPad shell, the Apple logo looks to be embedded within the metal back panel.

As far as the display is concerned, an obvious upgrade over the first-gen iPad mini is bound to emerge. Apple will indeed opt for a Retina display on the iPad Mini 2. Both Samsung and LG Display are apparently supplying panels, while other sources have confirmed that 2048 x 1536 is the target resolution, just like the full-sized iPad with Retina display.

The iPad mini release date is unknown, though speculation suggests that it could be before the holiday season beginning in October – 12 months after the original iPad mini made its debut. This seems more likely than the launch on September 10 event.

It seems that Ipad mini 2 will be packed with IOS7 on the go with good processor and paired with a decent ram but there is no specific news about it.

Alleged Rear Shell Of Upcoming iPad 5 Leaks

A couple of pictures leaked on the Weibo forums in China seem to depict the back shell of the next-generation iPad 5, next to the counterpart for the iPad mini (possibly second-generation model).

The iPad 5 is almost confirmed at this point, with every new leak pointing to a design akin to that of the iPad mini, including the chamfered edges, the super-slim body, and even the reduced bezel size.

We’ve seen leaked images of iPad 5 parts previously, including back covers, and these latest photos tie in with long-time and widespread rumours that Apple would be able to reduce the overall size of its next iPad.
It’s expected that the iPad 5 will release in Q4 alongside the iPad mini 2, although we don’t expect them to be officially introduced at the September 10 event where the reveal of the iPhone 5S is anticipated. You can be sure we’ll bring you further news on all of these devices as we hear it.

Meanwhile, a report last month stated that the next-generation iPad mini will likely include a Retina display, and will potentially be available with back covers in a number of colours. 

Moving on to smaller side of the iOS family, a report from MG Siegler has shed a bit more light on the rumored gold iPhone 5S. Siegler claims to have been told by “multiple sources” that Apple is indeed planning to introduce a gold-colored version of its next iPhone that will feature a more “subtle” shade that’s akin to champagne.
