Following the lead of Samsung , Sony and HTC , L.G could be the next to join the mini-variant segment, with expected launch of rumoured new L.G G2 Mini .
Tech Blog in a report has claimed that L.G is working on a mini variant of the 2013 flagship smartphone, the L.G G2, believed to be dubbed L.G G2 mini. However the report suggest that the name L.G G2 mini is not the official name and could be changed when launched.
On the specifications front, the reports claimed that the alleged L.G G2 mini could bear similarities with its elder sibling in terms of chipset and RAM.
As per the report, the alleged L.G G2 mini would be powered by snapdragon 800 chipset, the same seen on L.G G2 . Other specifications include 2GB of RAM and a 4.7-inch display, although the report couldn't confirm the resolution of the display.
The report further speculates that L.G might launch the alleged L.G G2 mini at CES in 2014 january at Las Vegas . Unfortunaltely there is no word on the design of the alleged L.G G2 mini, whether it would also feature the power buttons and the volume rocker at the back of the phone like the G2.
L.G launched the L.G G2 globally back in August.
