Here is a good News for gadget Lovers. Toshiba and Microsoft also got in on the action, unleashing the Toshiba Encore, the first 7-inch Windows tablet. Could this be the device to turn Windows 8.1 into an Android and iOS killer?
Windows 8.1 is a fine operating system; sure, it has its detractors, and it could be more polished, but there’s still something cool about being able to run full Windows apps on a tiny and affordable tablet.
the Toshiba Encore is clearly aimed at being a more affordable portable powerhouse. You can always use apps from the Windows store, rather than full-on Windows software.
So what can you expect from the Toshiba Encore? There’s Intel’s now-standard Bay Trail Atom CPU and 1GB of RAM, which should be fine for most Windows apps. The 1024×600 display won’t have you bragging to friends, but it should keep the price down well below $200 (£120), making this one of the cheapest Windows 8.1 tablets around.
Its also available in two differents styles opting with new themes which just as gadget lovers likely to be with the new themes .
There’s currently no word on pricing or availability though, so we’ll have to wait and see if Toshiba can make it an absolute bargain.
