Samsung has been experimenting with foldable screens for a while now, and even released a phone with a flexible display, the Galaxy Round. According to a new report, Samsung is sticking with its experimenting ways, and will launch a tablet with a foldable screen next year.
Such a device would be unlike any other gadget we’ve seen. It should have three panels that can either be folded one on top of the other, or folded out. When fully extended, the device’s screen should be around 8 to 9 inches across, which would be close to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.
Last year, Samsung patented a three-sided design for a phone. The screen spilled over the sides, and would let you assign multitouch quick actions to these side panels, so you can operate it as you grip it.
